We used a photograph of ourselves split into four parts. One part has been pastalled, one is collage, one is paint and the last is water colour. We have 4 symbols surrounding our portrait which represent things that are important to us. Take a look below or check them out in our classroom.

Congratulations to Lorraine and Jared who have been named as the Tinwald School Leaders for 2017. We know you are going to do an awesome job and represent the school with pride.
Yesterday Tinwald School entered a team into the Kiwi Cricket tournament held at the Ashburton Domain. They had a great day and gave all of their games their Tinwald BEST. At the end of the day they came away with 2 wins against Rakaia and Mt Somers and 3 losses. Check out some photos below.
Check out our great camp art! We used the photos from camp of us mid action shot and drew in our own background. We used water colour paint and pastal to add colour.
Hello Mother, hello father
Here I am at, Camp Mt Hutt Camp is very, entertaining And im really looking forward to abseiling We went hiking, with Miss Taylor Some people slipped down, it was a failure Sausage coleslaw, was for dinner We surely wont be coming home any thinner The next day we, went kayaking Into each others, boats we were smashing In the forest, there were low ropes Not falling on our bottoms was our high hopes Now I don’t want, this to scare ya But my bunkmate, has a huge flaw You remember, Jesse Chapman He keeps screaming in his sleep he thinks hes batman Speeding down the, grassy green hill On our bikes, it’s a big thrill Pop the balloon, with an arrow But try not to accidentally hit a sparrow! Oh what a bummer, its time to go home No longer at camp, we will roam All the teachers, look very happy They have got us on the bus quick and snappy. Over the last couple of days we have been learning how to use the publishing tool Canva. We had a play around yesterday and today we created Mt Hutt Retreat postcards.

Today we had our first AAA time hosted by Totara. We sung songs, awards were given out and Totara shared some of their learning with us. At the end of the assembly we had time for some fun free time activities as a reward for doing our BEST. Congratulations to everyone who received an award!
